Greetings! I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. I have created this web page to inform others about myself, my research interests and career objectives, as well as projects that I have worked on.

My desire to teach and to do research in aging ultimately originated from experiences with family, mentors, and friends, who ignited my passion to understand variation in the aging experience. My personal experience of growing up with maternal and paternal families of divergent ethnic backgrounds sharpened my awareness of the substantial deviation of individual life trajectories.
My current research interests surround how grandparents serve as stress buffers for grandchildren that experience family disruption. Under the guidance of Professor Merril Silverstein, I am exploring how relationships with grandparents may ease transitions of grandchildren into adulthood using the National Survey of Families and Households.
