Nonconscious Goal Pursuit

Nonconscious goal pursuit refers to the idea that goals may be activated outside of our awareness by subtle environmental cues. Nonconscious goal pursuit is said to exhibit all of the same characteristics of conscious goal pursuit, e.g. pursuit in the face of obstacles, and goal resumption after interruption.
