From PsychWiki - A Collaborative Psychology Wiki
How to use this section?
- Create your own online Annotated Bibliography: Some people use PsychWiki to post pages about published articles they use/refer to frequently and wanted a central place to keep them for easy access. You can keep a master list of the articles on each topic by adding a Category Tags to the page. If you add your name as one of the Category Tags then you can centralize all your annotated bibliographies. As more and more people post pages about published research, the Category Tags become a one-click way to see all the research on a given topic.
- Publicize your research: PsychWiki was created to allow researchers to share research, and then allow researchers to integrate it with other similar research using Category Tags so that there is a central hub on a given topic.
- See comments about published research or get feedback on your own research: Part of the benefit of using a wiki is allowing people to provide comments/feedback about the posted pages using the "Discussion" tab at the top of each page.
- Post conference proceedings: Presenting your work online is a quick way to reach more people beyond just those who attended the conference, and you can then sync it with Category Tags to make it more visible for a given topic.
- Some people use Psychwiki to create pages about famous psychology studies.
How to add a new page? Create a new page by using the box below. The page title is typically the title of the work, but some people also use the authors name/year e.g., Smith & Jones (2008). Type information into the new page as you would with any type of Word processing document. Then click "Save page". If you leave the category tag at the bottom of the page (e.g., "Research Page"), then a link to your page will automatically be created here.
